I had Monday off of work for the holiday. Usually my first paid holiday is in May.
I decided (on Monday) that a 3 day weekend was just not going to cut it. So, I
sent my boss an email indicating that I would be taking a couple extra days off
making it a 5 day weekend. I would love to take the whole week off but decided
that a 2 day work week would suffice. I finally broke my wake up habit and slept
in until 8AM Yay!. Considering that I fell asleep by 10PM I felt pretty good.

Well, what in the world did I do with 5 free days? Mmmmm.... No chores that's
for sure. I went hiking in Sabino canyon twice and I'm going to force myself to hike
my typical loop again today. (~7.6 miles) I usually don't see many hot guys in the
canyon during the week (excepting me of course!). Lots of retired people, mothers
with little ones, and the occasional runner.

I've been trying to make some progress on web-site development as well. I'm
beginning to develop a sense of what skills I need to develop first. So much has
changed since the early days of html. Half the battle seems to be knowing what
tools and techniques are even available. (If you don't know it exists how can you
learn it?) I've hobbled some crap together but I think it's time to start over and
try to make some improvements.

I've had some fantastic chat sessions. Most notably with Nathan and Janis. <3

I watched a couple of movies. "Corpse Bride" and "Just Like Heaven". I liked Just
like heaven. I'm not a big Tim Burton fan but Corpse bride seemed on par with
most of his work. So if you like his other work you'll probably like this one too.

I'm still not sure what the long term outlook is at work. I'm not worried about what
"they" might do but more about what I might do if forced to work for someone I
don't like. I would be an idiot to walk away from this job but I've been called worse.

I'm getting nothing done on the house. I'm going to hire my contractor neighbor
to finish my downstairs bathroom and carpet the basement. Why I didn't do this
a year ago is beyond my comprehension. Oh, and I'm looking for a live in house
boy. Must be cute and do windows.
